A fictional character of mine, tending to one of her charges -- that is, a werewolf. I actually was inspired to do this picture after taking another look at a drawing my boyfriend did....

check this out: [link]

I wanted to do my 'own version' of the drawing, because I really love the concept of it.

Of course, when I did it, it took hours, I had to draw the two characters on separate pages because the wolf took me one try and the girl took me five, and then I scanned, photoshopped, and colored it with a regular mouse. Which is why the coloring job is crappy. Also, I wasn't concerned with coloring, I just wanted the piece to come together.

Anyway, that's my version of the picture. My werewolves are four-leg creatures, of around 400lbs or so, so Dana would be kneeling and wouldn't really be able to reach high up into it's neck unless she were closer. Which, apparently, she isn't. In the boyfriend's pic, the werewolf is surprised at her reaction, but in mine it's safe to say he recognized a soothing presence and is not displaying too many other emotions. Wolves don't really have that many facial expressions. The blue light near her eyes is just a symbol of her using her magic. Yes, her nail polish is chipped.

Drawing her neck like that was hard, and I'm still not sure I got it right.

Wonderful Pic! You captured the mood you were going for PERFECTLY! Beautiful coloring job, esp on the wolf! The grays are amazing and you captured the texture and light on the fur without getting too into individual strands.
Amazing job!
